League of Women Voters to Sponsor Candidate Forums July 23 & 24.
- Description:
- CTN (Channel 19) will broadcast Ann Arbor Primary candidate debates on July 22nd, 23rd and 24th.
Candidates running for Ann Arbor Mayor, City Council, Wards 1, 2, 3, and 5 will be appearing at the Ann Arbor Area League of Women Voters sponsored event. In addition, candidates from Washtenaw County Commission Districts 8 and 9 will take part in a forum.
The schedule and candidates planning to participate are:
• Tuesday, July 22, 7-7:30 PM: Mayoral candidates – current Mayor John Hieftje and challenger Tom Wall.
8-9 PM: Washtenaw County Commission forum for Districts 8 and 9 – challenger Julie Seagraves (8), current Commissioner Leah Gunn (9) and challenger David Kanaan (9).
• Wednesday, July 23, 7-7:30 PM: Ward 1 - Challenger Sandi Smith
8-8:30 PM: Ward 2 – Challengers Tony Derenzinski and Stewart Nelson
• Thursday, July 24, 7:30-8:00 PM: Ward 3 – current council member Stephen Kunselman and Challenger Christopher Taylor
8:30-9 PM: Ward 5 – Challengers Vivienne Armentrout and Carsten Hohnke
CTN will re-broadcast the debates on Channel 19 up to the August 5th Primary.
